DOO NANNY

quite a unique experience Doo Nanny, there is nothing quite like it.
portable bike powered showers, communal kitchens, art cars, bones, junk and metal, banjos, girl scout cookies and one killer camp fire pretty much sums up the weekend. The rain simply made everything better, and it turns out we got some use out of the three pairs of yellow sailor rain suits compliments of Bonadio! Check out some photos. this kind of place just makes you want to come home and make stuff. i can't wait to go back, next year. prepared with a craft booth! enjoy.

I have a confession.

There are times I can be a complete computer geek. No excuses, or shamelessly hiding it… yes I do own a MAC and LOVE it, YES I do own an IPHONE and adore it. And yes, I DO get excited when I walk into a Mac store. Technology is my friend, and I intend to use every pointless app, design tool, and tricky technique to make my work easier and more often than not…. way fun. SO, in lou of this discovery I give to you my three top APPLE tools.

...well at least this week.

(1) SCREEN SHOT. So you can capture ridiculous moments like these…

(2) GPS in my phone- that is right, I have Mobile ME so don’t even THINK about stealing my phone… I will find you.

(3) 8mm (for IPhone)- This app is ridiculous. I do admit, I hated the fact that modern technology has consumed the elegance and individuality out of a monstrous handful of cameras including the Polaroid. There are millions of Polaroids in perfect condition floating around thrift stores and hidden in closets. Juat make NEW film, why produce a brand new model

This guy is ridiculously talented.

i wonder if he has a MAC.

Photobucket

this is where our adventure began.

one pack 30 yr. aged 75 color film
restored beauty Polaroid land film camera
two pairs of mittens
one rusty green bridge
hot liquid chocolate rice
and a but load of frowns and slippery feet
oh! and a sore bum.

Photobucket

lets just say I have Google and blue tape to thank,
and a decade worth of dust to fault.

The film was a bit shot
or we collectively somehow managed to over expose every single photo.
the picnic made up for our lack of Polaroid skills

Photobucket

lunch:
grilled portabello on wheat

dried mango
chocolate pretzels
sweet potato chips
grapefruit
& apple

smiles all around

winter play date

Tuesday, January 18, 2011

Photobucket

I would like you to meet my adorable cousin Marion. She is quite simply the cutest little blonde you have ever seen. We had a play-date at Railroad Park this past weekend. With matching hats, and a burst of energy we both twirled around the park, riding imaginary elevators,
and climbing on top of the world.

Truly an inspiration she is.

Photobucket

She found a play date at the park, he showed her a few moves known specifically as "pop-up" and of course, how to roll down a hill.
