Allison + Joseph

Saturday, November 26, 2011

This past weekend I had the privilege of helping a friend with her very special day. It took a bit of convincing to assure this crafty bride that everything would be in good hands.

Emma, Blair, John and I gathered all of our favorite old things and talents to create some truly unique decorations for this very hand made wedding.
The talented bride created all of the bridesmaids bouquets and groomsmen boutonnieres out of yarn, twigs and paper flowers. (See below)

I created a simple and elegant wishing tree for Allison's guests to leave a note in honor of their special day.
** I sneakily took several paint color swatches from Walmart to punch out tags which matched the color palette of the rest of the decorations.

Check out the beautiful hand bound book my friend Blair made for Allison's guests to sign.
We found the book at Reed's Book store downtown. Blair also designed a charming program for guests attending.

It was a beautiful night, and I am so happy I was able to share in this special day.
Oh, and mad props to Allison for a razzle-dazzle dance jam mix.

Moss Rock Festival

Sunday, November 6, 2011

This weekend has been filled with art and cold toes, painted faces, bunting and plenty of granny squares. Lily was out of town this time around, but my friend Blair hung with me Saturday... we munched on some gyros and cheese straws while thinking of a thirty second elevator pitch to explain what a "seed bomb" was. So, here's to a beautiful Sunday filled with new friends and some bartered art!
A supa huge thanks to Mrs. Blair hanging and helping me in the chilly weather Saturday.
more photos to come...
